This project has been developed by my team – Neelakshi Das, Krishanu Ganguli, Krishna Kamal Pal, and myself, Sourav Ghosh, as our project for IBM The Great Mind Challenge 2012. We put in a lot of effort to create a secure and robust site which intends to minimize corruption by cross-checking details with various authorized sources. We qualified for Face-to-Face rounds where we presented our project to reputed names within IBM and the IT industry, and in spite of minor setbacks with the projector, our audience were very much impressed with our project and gave us feedback on how we could improve on our later projects on certain aspects.
The final round results of the same were declared on 16th September, 2013 and we were really excited to know that we had been declared to be among the winners of IBM TGMC 2012! Find our team Apocalypse at

In this project, a Tenders Management System has been designed for the Public Works Department, Government of India. Separate portals are available for different categories of users – Registered Companies, PWD Officers, Administrator, and Guests. Registration of companies is completed only after the registration documents have been successfully verified by authorities such as the Police Department, Income Tax Department, Bank, etc.
Companies can view upcoming tenders grouped in various relevant categories, and submit tenders. After approval by PWD Officer, selected companies can share their work status on the portal for review by Government authorities and maintaining future records.
The administrator is responsible for managing tender documents and floating new tenders on behalf of the Government, in addition to other usual responsibilities. Slide ’em Up is one of my first apps published on the Windows Store. It is a classic 8-puzzle game with custom tiles.
This is a simple game, tailored for full-screen game playing as well as different snap sizes supported on devices running Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. The player’s mission is to arrange a jumbled set of tiles to form the picture shown as a reference. A tile can be moved horizontally and vertically to take the place of an adjoining empty slot. The number of movements and time taken contribute to the player’s score.
The game can be downloaded on devices running Windows 8, Windows 8 RT and Windows 8.1 from https://apps.microsoft.com/webpdp/en-us/app/slide-em-up/d27f464e-9455-4e6d-a1cd-87e7c77182b6

Durga Puja (Bengali: দুর্গা পূজা), also referred to as Durgotsava, ‘Festival of Durga’ or Sharadotsav is an annual Hindu festival in South Asia that celebrates worship of the Hindu goddess Durga. It refers to all the six days observed as Mahalaya, Shashthi, Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami, Maha Navami and Bijoya Dashami. The rules of the game are very simple:
You play with your phone as your opponent.
On each try, you may choose either stone, paper or scissors. Paper traps stone, scissors cut paper, stone breaks scissors.
Both you and your phone try to achieve the target and whoever achieves it first, wins the match! This is a project which I had been asked to develop for deployment at my college, Techno India. The following briefly outlines the objective to be fulfilled:
From students to subject teachers, this portal is a platform where students can share feedback about their classes. The information is aggregated and made available to the concerned subject teacher who can use this information to improve the method of organising classes. Anonymity ensures that students are able to give feedback without personal identification. Only students who attend a predefined threshold of classes are eligible for this opportunity.
The cumulative statistics may also be used for generating reports of the effectiveness of the manner of teaching as well as the understanding level of the students. This facility is available to the Heads of Departments.
This is an in-house project and currently deployed and maintained on the infrastructure of the Department of Information Technology, Techno India. It was released in two phases - where the second version included a new algorithm to rank faculty members on the basis of the feedback collected. This project was developed by my team – Neelakshi Das, Krishanu Ganguli, Krishna Kamal Pal, and me, Sourav Ghosh, for completion of our Summer Training under Oriens Infotech Pvt. Ltd. in the month of June 2013. Our project was appreciated as one of the best projects and an industry-ready one, which really means a lot for us!
